Why are they a good representation of this photographers work?
Describe the use of light.
Use of Contrast He works with models like this for fashion brands most of the time. The light is coming from the side of the picture which is facing her front side of the body so the photographer was able to create contrast around her back. Use of Contrast in Black and White. This is just another work of his with models. The light was set right on her but a little left from the picture which created a lot of contrast between her silky dress and bed.
Far focusing. He used a unique technique with the mirror and the model where he focuses the model through the mirror and making her hand blur out. The whole room seems to be really bright when the picture was taken. Use of Shadow. He used her shadow to a unique style where she is the focus but at the same time the shadow brings more interest. Light is coming from the side of her body which was a little tilted in an angle to create the shadow.
Use of focus. He made the front, the closer part of model to focus and the farther side to blur out creating the viewer's attention closer to the front part of the model. Light seems to be a natural light from outside and it came from behind the model.
